That UGLY Dog!

I would like to start by saying I don't have rivalry issues with my Mothers pets/children. But, this is what happened! My Mother decides to get a mini shitzu at Christmas. She has never been happier and calls for advice on crate training, schedules etc........ She keeps telling me how cute the puppy is and can I help her find a "real" girl name. You know something like Sasha, Emma, or Ashley. She picked "Jingels." Yeah.....it's really Jing..... a real "girl" name if I've ever heard one. Did I mention she even thinks her poo poo is cute - she calls them tootsies - as in mini tootsie rolls.

So, I go to my sweet Mothers home the day after Christmas to take her out to lunch. I take her to one of her favorite mexican places that is fabulous. My mom has awesome taste in good food! She loves Thai - I love Thai. She loves Mexican - I love Mexican. Spicy!!!! Just a little note my mom loves pictures - ask anyone you can't get out of the house without a photo session.
While we are eating this fabulous food she says "Now, before you leave I want to get a picture of the two of us." I'm okay with this so I'm like sure...whatever. She says this like 3 times and I'm thinking "I don't really look my best today I should put on some of my favorite Christian Dior sparkly lip gloss that I keep in my car."

We get home and she says she would like to put on some lipstick. So, I brush my hair & put on the Dior lip gloss and go to get Cocoa my cat that lives with my Mother as her favorite child. Because, Cocoa is in every picture with me. That's when the unthinkable happened.............She walks out with THAT UGLY DOG!!!!

She not only announces that she's ready for her picture but "the two of them are ready!" In my head it still has not clearly clicked that she doesn't want a picture with me. Then she graciously asked me if I would like my picture with her puppy. I'd rather have a picture of her tootsie!

Thanksgiving in Tiburon

Winston running from the waves!

My Favorite Pumpkin

After a mega move Jim and I barely recovered in time for Thanksgiving! Thank goodness Jim came and helped me move. First we moved everything from CA to Central Point - LOVE the missionaries on both ends! - and then a few days later we went up to Bend and spent a night with Mark, Cindy, Ashley, Anthony & Alex! I wish I had my camera with me they are soooo beautiful! Jim & I got all my stuff out of storage the next day. Before we left we went and saw my brother Josh who was airlifted to the hospital in Bend after being in a horrible accident.

NO - This is my favorite pumpkin! With dimples like these Mark was always the center of attention!

Leave it to Mark - the nurse gave us specific instructions to let him rest & let the drugs kick in - all of us leave the room - except Mark who proceeds to tell golfing jokes for his own amusement! Gotta love him! JR & Winston - Forget me these two are in love!

We got the truck unloaded and went back to Tiburon for Thanksgiving and some relaxation!
Winston is always so happy to see JR! Sometimes when he's in my car I call JR and Winston looks around for him.....it's so funny.....Love Bose speakers!

My Favorite Pictures of JR

Glued to the TV!

Wow! What a week in the news! I have been fascinated with everything that is going on. I didn't vote for Obama because he doesn't have much experience. But, I think it's a very exciting time for the country. The people are excited and that's what I love. Last night I got my camera out to play digital scavenger hunt with the twins. To my surprise my sweet niece Brynnly had taken about 100 pictures of not so flattering pictures - the back of her moms head, the back of grandmas head, my side profile(double chin - will start working out again!) and her sweet smiling face! I wonder what she was thinking when she was snapping away. She is so precious. WooHoo - I got the townhouse. My sweet boyfriend JR will be flying up from Scottsdale in the next week or two to move me. He is my best friend for sure. My next post will be all about how sweet and strong he is. Especially since he will be moving major furniture from two locations! Love you baby!

Central Point Oregon Trip

I made a mini road trip up to Oregon this weekend. I've decided to return to Oregon and start commuting back and forth to the bay area. Sounds crazy but I think it's the best thing for me. On my way there I realized how much I missed the drive! It is so beautiful and it just feels like home when you see Mt. Shasta. I think I found a townhouse in Central Point. I hope it works out. My friend Tana and I had dinner together and talked for hours! It had been such a long time. She will be reading this post tonight so this is what I learned - We still love CHOCOLATE, our blogs both start with "Simply", we carry around the same pens, we both LOVE Prison Break and 24. Pretty much nothing has changed in the last couple of years! I am so sorry we ever lost touch!

Tina Turner Concert !

So, My friend Shirley and I were decorating for Halloween at Baras house and I might have mentioned that the ladder she was on might tip over and I would have to use her ticket for the Tina concert. The next day Bara calls me and says I need to talk to you - I got you a ticket for the Tina Turner Concert, you can go with Shirley!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What??? I could barely respond! She is Simply the Best! Anyways, we went with Shirleys two cousins and had a fabulous time. Not to brag but, I will.... I had center tenth row seat and they were a little further away. I wish they were with me. Lucky for me the two guys next to me Mark & Darren(not related)were fun to hang with. Mark is going to send me his pictures for my blog. Thank you Bara!

Good bye Skip

Well, I have finally joined the blogging world! We had an enrichment night project and I thought this would be fun and a great way to communicate with family and friends. My online journal of sorts. My first blog is a little sad. My brother Gregs bird Skip died while he was in Hawaii last week. He was definetly his best buddy of about twenty years. He will be missed by many. We have so many stories of the "pretty bird" who gives kisses and lands on the heads of nieces! Fly Skippy fly!
