Me at the actual Inauguration! I couldn't feel my feet from 6am - 6pm!By the way JLo only lasted 15 min. in the cold! She walked right by me and was back 15 min later - going back to her car!Well, January was such an exciting month! I was offered an amazing opportunity to go to the inauguration of Pres. Obama. It all started with my favorite nanny Shirley getting ill! Someone had to replace her - in 14 years of a no traveling policy instilled in ALL my contracts - I decided that for my favorite clients I would go! And they treated me VERY WELL!
So, most people would think the highlight would be the Inauguration.......ummmm no. The best part was upon our arrival at the Ritz we get in the elevator and B. says shut the door...Me: No - It's Larry King!!!!!! I LOVE HIM!!! I watch him every night or catch him on XM! So, I see him almost every day & I got to talk to him! He was in the suite next to ours! We ended up having an amazing trip with lots of historical moments.
President Bushs HelicopterThe most amazing part & highly touching moment was when Pres. Bush & Laura left and got in the helicopter. It was a moment of not only seeing the transfer of power but feeling it. I was surprised at how few people were there. Maybe a dozen people waited at the center of the back of the Capitol Building. I felt honoured to be among the few that appreciated him as our President.
Loved Miley & Billy Ray, Jonas Bros., Usher All of them!Other highlights were the Kids concert.......LOVED IT!!! The Presidential Parade....my seat was about 12-15 seats away from Obamas Booth! I met so many amazing people......ummmm I probably shouldn't say this but I was pretty much one of the few white girls around! So, I made alot of "inaugural friends" - it was the best! Of course you can't tell any of them that you didn't vote for him. I think he has alot to offer and hope he can do what he says.
